This episode is a continuation of an interview with Dorothy Morrison, author of over a dozen non-fiction books on paganism and witchcraft and a novel LUCINDA'S WEB. It was a lot of fun talking to her, as you probably noticed in the first half of the interview. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

In one of the recent episodes, I announced an upcoming contest. Here's the additional information that I promised.

Are you an astrology buff? Can you just "tell" when someone's a Leo (or some other sign)? If you answered yes, you're going to love this contest.

I'm not only a fan of vampire fiction, I also write it. Alicia Anderson is the protagonist in Darksome Thirst and The Old Power Returns. These two novels are the first in my series where witches and geeks encounter immortal vampires somewhere west of Boston in the early 1980s. She's about to start learning more about astrology as part of her general training in the occult sciences. Can you beat her to it and guess?

First Prize

Guess her Sun, Moon, and Rising signs and win your choice of a Crystal Wheel or Floral Horoscope from Dikki-Jo Mullen.

Dikki-Jo is a nationally noted astrologer and spiritual counselor who has authored manynationally published articles. Her feature items and detailed astrology forecasts appear in The Witches' Almanac and Dell Horoscope publications, available in fine book stores everywhere.

Second Prize

Guess any two signs (sun/moon, moon/rising, and so on) and win a signed copy of the yet unpublished book three in the Alicia Anderson series and a copy of the 2009-2010 Witches' Almanac, in which my article on crystal balls appears.

You have until midnight Eastern Standard Time February 28, 2009 to post your entries. For full details, see the Contest Entry Page at

Announcements

Announcements:

I'll be reading and signing at 3:15 pm at Author's Day at the Bay State Paranormal Center, Saturday, November 8, 2008, from 12 pm -5 pm. Admission is free.

New contest -- guess the astrological sign of my protagonist, Alicia Anderson!  More details upcoming in Episode 8.

Finally, remember that I'll be participating in NaNoWriMo (www.nanowrimo.org) in November, which means that I'll be trying to write 1,667 words a day. I might not be able to publish a podcast that month, but I should be on track in December because I have two interviews that are nearly ready to go: an interview with Dan and Michelle from the Out of the Coffin podcast (www.outofthecoffin.com) and with Jimahl di Fiosa, author of the new book on spirit communication called Talk to Me.

And finally, if you celebrate it, a very happy Halloween and a blessed Samhain.
